Current Favorites

I love looking back on old Journal entries so much. I remember the day I wrote them (most of them) and to reminisce on the feelings, excitements, and even frustrations I had back then and compare them to my life currently may be one of the most enjoyable and humbling experiences ever! It gives me a chance to remember things that scared me, or hurt me, or frustrated me, and to reflect on how Heavenly Father so clearly paved the way for them to be solved... well, at least NOW it's clear to me. Not so much then. :)

Anyway, I know that I'll enjoy this later down the road, so here is a current list of my "favorites".

Right now, at the eve of my Freshman year of college, in 2012, these are my opinions and preferances.

What is your favorite book?

Oh gosh... like I could pick just one. I love Harry Potter (of course), and the Hunger Games. I also love The Hobbit, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Tale of Two Cities, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Anthem, Hamlet, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, Into the  Wild, Marley and Me, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstien, A Thousand Splendid Suns (seriously never cried so hard in my life because of a book!!! So. Freaking. Good.), Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, The Hours, and seriously anything written by Mary Higgens Clark.

What is your favorite song?
Again... like I could pick! Hmmm.... I hate to admit it, but currently I'm very obsessed with "Wide Awake" by Katy Perry, but aside from that five songs that I absolutely love right now are Regina Spektor's cover of John Lennon's "Real Love", "A Poor Wayfaring Stranger" by Peter Hollens ft. The Swingle Singers, "One I Love" by Coldplay, "Welcome Home" by Radical Face, and "Hello" by Martin Solvieg.

What is your favorite color?
PURPLE! Has always been. Will always be.

What is your favorite destination?
Favorite destination? As in... favorite place to travel? Or favorite place to arrive at in general? Because, not going to lie, when we get to stop at a Frozen Yogurt joint, or Pho's Chandler, or a Puppy Park, my heart just does a little jig! But if we're talking travel, I haven't had the opportunity to travel much... so if we're just talking in my dreams, I really enjoyed my stay in the Shire.
It was relaxing, and nobody cared how badly I danced or how hairy my legs and feet got!
It doesn't get better than that folks.

What is your favorite memory?
Honestly, my experience playing with EVMCO. I can't explain it, but I literally felt my self being engulfed in the music, like a giant wave of water hit me! It was almost and out of body experience for me, where I wasn't actually thinking about my music while I was playing it, but more enjoying it and basking in the surreality of it all.
Man.

EVMCO will you please respond to my multiple emails for a re-audition and take me back?!?

What is your favorite TV show?
Oh man, I am a die hard Lost fan. I think I always will be, no matter how much time passes. But currently I'm in love with Once Upon a Time in a really serious way. I also love me some of The Office, Psych, and Monk.
And Criminal Minds, Law and Order, Dissapeared, I Survived, Without a Trace, The Mentalist, and Ghost Whisperer.
Any of those will do. :)

What is your favorite movie?
Oooh, it's a close tie between How to Train Your Dragon, any of the Lord of the Rings movies, Nacho Libre, or that really really weird movie called Princess that Mimi showed me the other day... I sweat that entire movie is like a confusing drug trip or something! Ha ha ha!

What is your favorite food?
Oh man, food is food, seriously! I love it, I am NOT a picky eater!!! However, one thing I can always go for is some Pho's Chandler. I love soup in a very big way, and their Pho is to DIE for!!! ...as are their uncooked Spring Rolls with peanut sauce... ahhhhhhh.

What is your favorite dessert?
Anything chocolate. Anything.

What is your favorite treat?
Oooh, favorite treat? I sure do love me some grapefruits, or some AM PM horchata (thank you for introducing me to my new addiction Aaron!), or some Take 5's... but never together! Ever.

What is your favorite car?
The one I drive. Her name is Norma Gene. And she is lovely. :)

What is your favorite piece of clothing?
Honestly? I seriously love overalls... like, a lot. I get embarassed sometimes to go out in public in them, so you people probably rarely actually see my in them... but I wear them ALL THE TIME at home! I also seriously love sports bras... just incase you were wondering.

What is your favorite fashion accessory?
SCARVES! SCARVES! SCARVES!
...should I really be living in Arizona?

What is your favorite perfume?
Currently I'm love with this perfume that I have called Daisy and Bath and Body Works' Into the Wild.

What is your favorite leisure activity?
Going to the lake. I've only been a few times, but I always leave wanting more!

Who is your favorite author?
Mary Higgens Clark. I can pretty much guarantee that any book of hers that I pick up I'll love!

Who is your favorite actor/actress?
Hmmm... right now I'm in serious awe and respect of Heath Ledger, just because I just saw The Dark Knight for the first time. But I also love James McAvoy, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ginnifer Goodwin, and however it is that plays Jefferson on Once Upon a Time... seriously!

Who is your favorite singer?
My one and ultimate favorite is Coldplay! Has been for years and probably will always be! But under Coldplay I love Mumford and Sons, Vampire Weekend, Owl City, Artie Shaw, Regina Spektor, Fun., Michael Buble, John Mayer, Modest Mouse, Josh Groban, Jack Johnson, Aaron Copland (I seriously LOVE his Appalachain Spring, it's my dream to be able to play that solo/duet in the begining), Radical Face, Shiny Toy Guns, Daft Punk, and lots lots more!

Who is your role model?
My mom and Emma Smith. :)

Where is your favorite place to be?
At the temple. Hands down. One a month seriously isn't often enough!!! Every time I leave I just want to run back in!
