I can't believe it had been one whole year since I first went crazy and chopped my whole head of hair clean off!
I remember being in the student directed one acts and watching my friend Kiera style her crazy pixie cut, wondering if I could ever pull off such a crazy look. I asked her how she styled it, pondered, and let the idea sort of marinate in my brain. I had thought about going short before but had never really thought I could do it in real life.
But then... something snapped. In a split second I had made the decision: I was going to cut it ALL OFF!
And I loved it. :)
For any woman out there contemplating cutting her hair off, I say do it!
~
1. It will be the most liberating thing you can do. You will feel so free when you don't have your hair to hold you back anymore.
2. Styling will be so quick and easy in the morning... like... really.
3. It really forces you to love YOU. Your jaw line, cheek bones, and (sometimes) ears are exposed now and no longer have hair to hide behind.
4. You will get so many compliments from guys who respect you for your hair bravery/ability to pull off such a fabulous look, and from girls who wish they were brave enough to do it too. :)

And so while I absolutely love my pixie, and cannot deny that it is definitley the hairstyle for me, I also have to realize that it's been a year... and whlie pixies sure are fun, there isn't a ton of variety that comes with them. It's time for a change
Plus I'm planning on a mission... I can't be dealing with the upkeep a pixie will require out in the field. :)
So, for these reasons, I have decided to start growing this bad boy out.
Here is my progress after about three months:
The mullet is coming in nicely. :)
