Life = Made

Ok, are you ready for this? Because this is some pretty intense stuff right here about to happen! Remember at the end of yesterday's post where I was a little less than thrilled to be going on an Ice Skating mutual activity? Well, it's true. I was. And I had a few good reasons for being such a downer about it, but that's not the point! The point is that I went, and that at first I was miserable. First of all, it was absolutely freeeeezing in there! I mean, true they've got to keep the ice from melting and all, but it took a good 10-15 minutes for my little hands to thaw out afterwards! Like woa!
Second of all, I really had no friends to skate with. There was a sweet girl there who wasn't a member who's boyfriend is in my ward. She came along and I totally LOVED her! Seriously! But she was with her boyfriend, and skating with them would have been a total "third wheel" situation which would have been awk-to-the-word (just went there!). There was another young woman in my ward who was determined to teach me how to skate... she decided this before she saw me on the ice. It wasn't a pretty sight. After about ten minutes of trying to get me to skate fastly along side of her she just kind of gradually left me behind to go skate with the more fun girls. It's alright. Who needs friends anyway? Right?
Well, all of a sudden, after skating shuffleing alone around the rink for about (cold and miserable let me tell you) as long as I thought I could take I looked to my right and saw a girl who seemed to be struggling as much as I was. And then I thought to myself, "Hey, she looks kinds of familiar..." and then she looked at me and all of a sudden we both gasped and I recognized only my most best princess friend in the world!!!

We shuffled over to each other as fast as we could and gave each other as big of hugs as we could without falling over on our skates! She was there skating with her ward too, who knew! She and her adorble friend Rachel were my skating buddies for the reast of the night, and it just goes to show you that when you do what you're supposed to (even when you really really don't want to), the Lord will bless you. I ended up having the best night ever, it was a blast! Thank you Mimi McPeek, I love you!!!

(do not scoff at our greatness, you wish you were so wobbly on skates that you needed to hold somebody's hand for balance... admit it!)
