With the flu season being as bad as it has been lately, I knew this bound to happen sooner or later. I've been surrounded by sick people for the past month at least (with work, school, home, and friends... everybody and their dog has been sick!), so it was only a matter of time before I came down with it myself.
That's right...
Life goes on, however. I spent the whole weekend sleeping and then wedding dress shopping, and then babysitting, and then sleeping some more, and now I shudder to think about the mountain of homework I still have yet to complete tomorrow for school on Monday.
Oh well, thus is the life of a college student, right? :)
Plus, I hardly ever... EVER get really sick, so I figured I'm paying my dues, right?
Who knows who I really got this bug from (with pretty much ALL the kids at work being ill off and on over the past month, everybody coughing up a lung at school, and my home being flu ridden just a week or so ago), but Mimi and I suspiciously have all the same symptoms... I've got my eye of you McPeek!
Ha ha, but no matter who I got it from or how long I'm going to be stuck with it, neither of those change the fact that... a.) I can not call out of work on Sunday... unless I'm dying... which I'm close to, but not, b.) I have school on Monday that I can not miss, and c.) Oh yeah... I have a stupid online class too.
So guess who's going to be my new best friends for the next 42 hours or so?
Make me well, my pretties!!! :D
P.S. Do any or you dream strange dreams when you're sick? I mean, some of mine can be pretty "out there" to begin with, but when my body is fighting illness, forget about it! On Thursday (the day I was first struck with the bug) I kept dreaming that I was in a horror film about this scary elderly man who lived in a musty old house and had a HEAP ton of taxadermized things in his home. I just remember being terrified but then looking around and not understanding why this guy was supposed to be so scary, but then he'd walk by me and I'd hide behind the couch and still be scared for my life... but THEN! All of a sudden I'd pop somewhere else just out of the blue! Sometimes I'd pop out into the audience of the film and be watching it, or sometimes I'd pop into different places in the house... I woke up not knowing whether to be terrified or confused.
But then the next night? I had a dream that there was this glass box outside of the same old man's scary, rickety house. This glass box had handfuls of adorable puppies in it and for 26 dollars the box would unlock and you could take one home... however, I already had two dogs at home (yes, I guess Rylee and Jazee existed in my dream) so I figured out how to scam the system when the next person bought their puppy I shoved my socks in the door so that it'd stay open... and then I just snuggled puppies until I woke up. It was grand.
P.P.S. Happy Birthday to my Wonderful, Handsome, Hilarious, Spectacular Daddy! :D
