Some mornings I wake up in a panic. Did I do my homework? Did I study for the test coming up? Is anything due today in class today?
But then I remember that my online class is over, and the only things I have to worry about are my job, and the things coming up in my calendar... how nice! :)
Working full time is definitely an experience different than any I have had before. I've been busy before, but this is a different kind of busy. While I have something that takes up almost all of my time almost every day of the week, it's just ONE thing. I'm not juggling school and a job with extra free time on the side, it's just one job all the time... and while it kind of stinks never being at home, it's kind of relaxing have just one thing on my plate.
I liked it!
I mean, my three-week temp job has ended now, but while it lasted? I had such a good time, and I am crossing my fingers that I made a good enough impression that they will want to hire me on again and not-so-temporarily this time. :)
Also, speaking of work, want to see what my greatest find of the week? Here I was, minding my own business, getting the mail like any good receptionist does, and I hear a boat load of cicadas in the tree right about the mailbox. Well, cicadas gross me out, so I looked up into the tree to make sure there wasn't one like right above my head or something and what do I find?
Big. Freaking. Huge. Beehive.
I pretty much saved the entire office from a fate of being eaten alive by a swarm of bees.
Not really.
But seriously...
And speaking of bugs, guess what my newest, peskiest roommates have proven to be?
Seriously? I have never seen so many earwigs in one house! They are everywhere!
It is a situation...
Also speaking of situations and roommates, ever since this girl started sharing a room with me again she thinks that she is all entitled to the bed as much as I am. She honestly gets so upset when I try to make her sleep in her own bed... like, crying, barking, scratching, howling kind of upset.
So while I've been going through all of my old "Dog Whisperer" and "It's Me or the Dog" tapes, I have caved and she has slept in my bed almost every single night...
...my bed is sooo hairy.
All in all...not a bad summer so far. :)
