General Conference: Spring, 2012

-"Family time is sacred time and should be protected and respected."

-"The Lord wants the people of His church to be converted to His gospel."

-Missionaries arrive as spiritual infants, eager to learn and to teach, and leave as spiritully mature adults ready to take on the world!

-There is no end to the expansive capacity to love... it is like a gravitational pull drawing us nearer to our Father in Heaven who waits with open arms.

-"Jesus' sacrifice was the offering of the ultimate good, the pure lamb of God, for the ultimate evil, the sins of the entire world."

-"It's true, isn't it? ...Then what else matters?"

-Challenges: and exciting prospect to prove our courage and faith to Christ.

-If we have not a strong foundation of faith, then our ability to endure will crumble.

-"Even if we act on merely a twig of faith, Heavenly Father can grow it."

-Our trials and suffering on this earth are not a punishment from God, He just wants us to have a little more polishing before we go home, have patience. :)

-"Don't be jealous because I choose to be kind."

-It does not diminish us when others succeed.

-"We are not in a race against each other to see who is the most beautiful, talented, etc. We are in a race against sin... envy being one of the most universal."

-"Envy is the sin that just keeps giving, it is like downing a quart of pickle juice every time anyone around us has a happy moment!"

-"Don't hyperventilate about something that happened at 9 o'clock in the morning, when the grace of God is trying to reward you at 6 o'clock in the evening."

-"Surely the thing that God enjoys most about being God is the thrill of being merciful, especially to those who don't expect it, and especially feel they don't deserve it."

-Us: "Heavenly Father, I just can't do it tonight. Can't I just come and stay with you for one night?"

Heavenly Father: "No... but I can stay with you."

-"When we are in the Lord's territory we have no desire to do evil, but even one inch in the opposite direction puts is un the hands of Satan."

-You can't be right by doing wrong; you can't be wrong by doing right."

-"Our Heavenly Fatehr did not send us to earth to fail, but to succeed gloriously."

Oh how I love this gospel. It is so glorious, and it is so so true!
