This is the Life

Okay, life has been good lately. Life has been so so good lately. Maybe it's because I recently saw an apostle in real-life with my best friend, maybe it's the fact that I have finally been able to catch up on two years worth of hanging-out with Mr. Moss, or maybe it's that this is the last week of my first semester (hoop yeah!). Either way, this song has been playing through my head all day.
Press play.
Then you may keep reading.

Now that you are sufficiently pumped, thanks to Two Door Cinema Club, let's get on with the goods shall we?
Saturday night I was lucky enough to not only be able to spend it with my bestest bestie best friend Mimi, but I was able to spend it in the midst of an aposlte of God (yes! They are still alive on earth, ordained of God, just like in the bible! Cool huh?): Quentin L. Cook. Now, this was my first time ever getting to meet or even see an actual apostle in real life. Unlike some cooler people I've never been privileged to have one visit my stake, nor have I ever been able to go to General Conference live. So when Mimi stole me and brought me to this increadible fireside with her (which ended up starting later than we thought it did... thereby making me miss my dear friend Camille's surprise birthday attack on her cute boyfriend Caleb... I am still so sorry deary!!!) it's needless to say that I was a little bit over the top excited.
Friends.
Never... have I ever felt such spiritual presence in a room than when that blessed man entered the chapel and the entire congregation stood in respect.
He had a literal glow around him, and his smile seemed to peirce my very heart with the most sicnere joy I had ever felt. His words were soft and penetrating, his spirit joyful and heartfelt.
There was one particular moment when his words struck me so deeply that I could have been moved to tears. I felt the spirit around me like a warm snuggie, and afterwards Mimi and I both mentioned that moment as one of the most spiritual we'd ever felt.
I am so in love with this gospel and the joy, peace, and happiness it brings. I am so thankful for such wonderful friends who encourage me to grow in the gospel and who support my standards and decisions. Not everybody has that. I am so thankful that I do.

Now I've been complained to recently that I haven't blogged about "the homecoming" like I promised you all I would. Well... truth is? The homecoming was fine. It was so so so good to see my wonderful friend again, but one thing they don't wanr you about is the inevitable missionary "awkward phase".
Luckily, Mr. Moss' is proving to be short lived, and those first couple days of awkwardness have just transformed into pure awesomeness!
I was able to go to his homecoming talk yesterday and boy... can that cute boy public speak! It was beautiful, and I got to hang out with the guest of honor and his crazy awesome family later that night so really, what else could be better right?
So the reason I haven't mentioned any of this stuff yet? I haven't taken any pictures. None. And I seem to harbour this odd inability to write posts unless I include a picture, so seeing as there has been nothing for me to pair with a post... nothing has been written!
Until now!
Ladies and gentleman, we are going to stoop to *drumroll* FaCeBoOk StAlKiNg!!!

I know, I know. Try to hold in your shame as I present to you the proof that I am not making this up... Jeffrey Reid is REALLY home and is awesome as ever!
The only thing I really forgot about...?

...his height. ;)
I get to go with this cute guy to see The Hobbit on Friday and I could NOT be more stoked!
I hope you all have a wonderful finals week (P.S. I took my very last final today. All I have to do is finish my Honors project tomorrow and I am HOME FREE), and an even better Tuesday tomorrow!
