Alright, so as some of you know, me and three of my friends raised a bunch of money (on garage sales if you can believe it), drove up to LA for a day, and saw Wicked at the Pantages Theatre! Now, this was back in July, but I dind't have a blog then, and my blog just wouldn't be mine unless it had this great trip. At first nobody thought we would be able to do it, but here is proof (pictures) and I'll take you through the whole trip!Ok, so this is a picture I "borrowed" from Camille's blog. Camille isn't in the picture because she's the one who's taking it. As you can see, it was a very snug 6 hour trip from Mesa to LA. There were 7 people in a 7 seat mini van. This just shows the back seat. Emily was teaching Mimi and I how to play various card games, and we used a giant Dog Dictionary that I had brought as a hard surface.
In our cute little hotel room the very back wall was a BIG window with pretty curtains in front of it. Emily decided to be daring and lean back on it and we all had to take pictures of her. Plus, we got a neat view! It was fun to look at the different cars through Camille's binoculars. (In the bulding in the back of the picture with no walls you could see a strucure behind it that looked like the Eiffel Tower)
Before the show, we all went to Olive Garden to eat dinner and right out in front was this very artistic fountain. On the side of my blog there is a picture of us all in front of it.
This was the back of the fountain (the part with all the ridges) and none of us were expecting to see a face on it! I took a picture of this as well.
The front of Olive Garden.
So this was the street sign right as we were turning the corner to the theatre. At first I couldn't understand why we were all taking pictures of it until I actually read it... oops!
So here it was! The Pantages Theatre! It had a big sign of the musical and everything! The nicest part was that we didn't have to wait in any big lines to get in our anything.
This is our picture in fron of the theatre. We couldn't fit the whole Wicked Sign above us into the picture, but you can tell what it is just by seeing the bottom half, right? I have no idea what the wooden man right next to us is there for. I guess an advertisement for Maps & Guides.
After the production, we were able to go around back and meet some of the cast! We got autographs and everything! This is our picture with Teal Wicks, the woman who played Elphaba. As I later found out when I saw Mimi's (Emily McPeek) version of the picture, I am the only one who isn't looking at the camera. Can anyone guess why?
Here we are in the middle of getting our playbills signed. It's a great picture, but I'm not so sure how I feel about the lovely side snapshot of me....
So... ya. That was my wonderful trip to Oz with three of my very great friends! I hope you enjoyed the pictures and wonderful stories that went along with them.

That WAS fun... :) You make me smile.
That looks like a really fun trip. I want to see that so badly. It is coming to Gamage next summer, so I am there.... as soon as I have a garage sale.
