MORP Post Coming Up Soon...ly

But for now we'll just stick with Regionals... it'll be easier... because there's not much to say about it other than that it was

UH-MAZING!

And for lack of time and patience I'll really only share one picture and one story from the fabulous music-making weekend.

Here is the picture:

{Here we are... all triumphant and what not. I love *most of* these people! :)}

And here is the story!

I got there and there was a lady who was putting name tags on each of the music stands. I was waiting to see where I would be sitting, and I saw these two kids near the back of the clarinet section. I knew that since my audition was so bad that I would be near the back, and I got a little bit worried. These kids looked pretty strange. You know those weird anime greasy yucky kids? These were them. One of them was a girl, and the other one was a boy and they looked like they were really good friends because they were talking and laughing and there was an empty chair in between them. I sarcastically thought to myself, “Just watch, with my luck that’ll be my chair.” Not two minutes later, the lady placed my name tag right in that very spot. Of course! So I sat down and the boy automatically said, “HI!” …here is our conversation…

Boy: Hi there!
Jadyn: Hi
Girl: What’s your name?
Jadyn: I’m Jadyn, what’s your name?Girl: I’m Alexxandra, and that’s Dillon.
Boy: I’m Dillon!
Jadyn: Hi Dillon-
Girl: Are you normal?!
Jadyn: …am I what?
Girl: Normal! Are you normal?!
Boy: Yeah! Are you?
Jadyn: *in a playfully sarcastic tone* Oh I’m VERY normal!
Girl : *obviously not catching the sarcasm* Good! Good, because we sat next to some WEIRDOS last year at Regionals.
Boy: Yeah, those guys were strage!
Jadyn: *Jadyn’s thoughts* I think I’M the one who‘s sitting next to some weirdos!

Throughout the course of the day, Jadyn is subject to constant anime babble, weird hand shakes, stories about girls who may r may not have a crush on Dillon, parties that Alexandra was planning with the third chair oboe player, and many other crazy things.
The next day while waiting to go on stage for the performance…………….

Dillon: *talking to me* Awe, this is so sad! This is the last time ever in history that we’ll ever play in a concert together… EVER.
Jadyn: I know, it’s so sad.
Alexandra: *again, talking to me* I hope you know that this means we’re going to have to stalk you.
Dillon: Yeah! Facebook stalk you!
Jadyn: Ha ha ha ha ha-
Alexandra: We’re not kidding.
Jadyn: Ha…. Ha…. Do you guys even remember my name?
Alexandra: Jadyn Hicks. Jadyn spelled J-A-D-Y-N-
Dillon: Hicks spelled H-I-C-K-S.
Jadyn: *slightly freaked out* …wow… you guys are thorough…
Dillon: Yeah… we’ve had lots of practice.

...Band people are just so strange sometimes... *facepalm* :)
Peace out!
